The formulation of the standard will provide guidance for the healthy and safe development of the electric vehicle replacement industry.
This also means that the State encourages enterprises to develop new charging and power replacement technologies for new energy vehicles, and explore the application of "separation of vehicle and power". The biggest change after the separation of car and electricity is that you can only buy car batteries, which is equivalent to a service that can be rented permanently. For the car, it is similar to the concept of renting the shared power bank that can be seen everywhere at present.
"This is a major breakthrough in Weilai's technology and business model innovation. At present, we are still making the final preparations for the formal provision of baas model services, and the implementation plan will be officially released in the next three quarters." Li Bin said on the financial report conference call.
And after baas, take a 100 degree battery as an example, the price is about 120000, which can be deducted when consumers buy a car. That is to say, a car with more than 300000 can be reduced to 200000 or even lower. The rental cost of the battery is equivalent to the monthly fuel cost, and it can be dynamically configured and upgraded in the future. As long as the cost is lower than the installment purchase cost of the battery, it will have greater attraction and bring a huge market.
At the same time, the emergence of baas also makes the battery have financial attributes. The battery pack can become a financial asset. The right to use and ownership can be separated. The ownership of the battery can attract investors to buy and rent it. It can make the battery owner get a fixed monthly rent. Weilai can also reduce the pressure on the battery fund, and the threshold for consumers to buy a car is also significantly reduced All three parties can benefit.
Weilai is one of the earliest car companies in China to arrange power station replacement. At the same time, the best car companies in the current power station replacement mode will also get the first batch of dividends after the policy.
New players follow up
In addition to Weilai, at present, only BAIC new energy is widely used in domestic auto enterprises. Previously, BAIC new energy was aimed at operating vehicles such as taxis, while Weilai was aimed at private users. However, BAIC new energy also began to introduce the power exchange mode for the private market. BAIC new energy believes that in the long run, the profit model is certain.
It is understood that BAIC new energy has successively launched ev160 / eu220 / eu260 / eu300 / EU5 fast version and other tram replacement models, while the next generation products are being developed on a new platform, including arcfox brand, and charging and tram replacement models will also be considered simultaneously. The driving range can cover 400-700 km, fully entering the to B and to C markets.
In May this year, BAIC Blue Valley smart energy signed a contract with Changfeng and Beijing Qingxiang on the first batch of power exchange projects, and will work together to complete the market promotion of no less than 2000 Taibei new energy power exchange taxis and online car hailing in Sanya, Haikou and other places. At the same time, it plans to put 82 self operated power stations in Shandong, Hebei, Hainan and other provinces to serve customers together with the power exchange outlets invested and constructed by partners.

Under the favorable policy, Chang'an, Dongfeng lantu and Geely all have the intention to carry out the power exchange mode. With the gradual clarification of the business model, more and more players will enter the game.
In the whole industry, to fully implement the power exchange mode, the first thing is to realize the standardization of batteries, and even the standardization of industrial design of electric vehicles. The new rules introduced this time are the first step.
